Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.

[ Upstream commit 2e5383d7 ] Older (and maybe current) versions of systemd set release_agent to "" when shutting down, but do not set notify_on_release to 0. Since 64e90a8a ("Introduce STATIC_USERMODEHELPER to mediate call_usermodehelper()"), we filter out such calls when the user mode helper path is "". However, when used in conjunction with an actual (i.e. non "") STATIC_USERMODEHELPER, the path is never "", so the real usermode helper will be called with argv[0] == "". Let's avoid this by not invoking the release_agent when it is "". Signed-off-by:Tycho Andersen <tycho@tycho.ws> Signed-off-by:
